The downloaded file for Windows PC is about 0.98 gigabytes (takes a few minutes to over 20 minutes) and the program takes 1.1 gigabyte on your hard drive. The program was written for Windows PC. It has been able to run on a Mac computer with the Windows simulator Parallels. The Beta version for Mac (without Parallels) was designed to work on the current Mac operating system but it no longer works well enough.

MycoMatch (MatchMaker) is a program to help identify mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest. It contains a database of over 4700 descriptions of gilled and nongilled mushrooms. There is an interface for entering mushroom characteristics to find species that fit those characteristics. There are over 7500 illustrations of over 2750 species, from 270 different photographers.

This is Version 2.4.2, completed in November 2025. The earliest versions of the program were available in 1999. Version 1.3 was completed in August 2008. Version 2.0, which added the ability to enter characters of nongilled mushrooms, was completed in 2010. Version 2.1 (2012) integrated the gilled and nongilled programs.
Version 2.1.1 was completed in August 2014.
Version 2.2.0 was completed in October 2014.
Version 2.2.1 was completed in February 2015.
Version 2.3.0 was completed in March 2019.
Version 2.4 was completed in December, 2020.
Version 2.4.1 was completed in late 2022.
